What is UK SIC 2026?

The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is the official system used in the UK to classify businesses and organisations by their type of economic activity. SIC 2026 is the most recent revision, published by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) in April 2026.

It replaces UK SIC 2007 and aligns with the international NACE Rev. 2.1 and ISIC Rev. 5 frameworks, bringing the classification up to date with the modern digital economy.
