This subclass includes manufacture of photovoltaic cells and solar modules using semiconductor materials for energy conversion applications. This subclass includes: - manufacture of photovoltaic cells (crystalline silicon, thin film, or other semiconductor materials) - manufacture of photovoltaic modules and solar panels, including assembly of cells into completed units
