64.191 — Banks

This subclass includes: - monetary intermediation by UK banks, that is, those institutions other than the Bank of England, that are authorised by the Prudential Regulatory Authority (PRA) and Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) under the Financial Services and Markets Act (FSMA) to accept deposits through a branch in the UK: • monetary intermediation by UK branches of non-UK, including also Gibraltar, institutions that are authorised by the PRA to accept deposits through a branch in the UK • monetary intermediation by UK branches of banks incorporated in the European Union that are in Supervised Run-Off, and are authorised by the PRA to accept deposits through a branch in the UK • monetary intermediation by credit unions • monetary intermediation of the National Savings Bank • monetary intermediation of the Savings Certificate Office
