64.215 — Activities of Bank Financial Holding Companies

This subclass includes: - companies whose principal activity is to own a group of UK subsidiary corporations that have banking licences in the UK, through holding at least 50% of the subsidiaries’ equity whilst not offering any banking services themselves.

This subclass excludes: - activities of shareholding companies, not owning controlling levels of equity, see 64.34 - other financial service activities n.e.c., except insurance and pension funding activities, see 64.99 - activities of asset management on a fee or contract basis, see 66.30 - provision of managerial services (e.g. strategic planning, decision-making and administrative services of a head office), see 70.10 - active management of companies and enterprises, strategic planning and decision-making of the company, see 70.10
