62.13 — Software Development of General-purpose Applications, and Other Software Development

Designing, writing, modifying, testing and supporting software with broad general-purpose applications, that is developed for business use across sectors and industries and is not specialised to one sector or industry application, and other software development not classified under 62.11 and 62.12 This class includes: - software applications with wide use cases, such as productivity software and database software - software applications that are general purpose and designed for use across software development - systems software and related software, for example operating systems - machine learning applications, artificial intelligence (AI) / machine vision and Large Language Models (LLMS) - cybersecurity software development for general purpose applications This class includes customising software so that it is functional within a clients' information system environment

This class excludes: - development of computer games, see 62.11 - e-commerce software applications, see 62.12/3 - enterprise management software, and other software applications relating to business services, see 62.12/6
