39.001 — Greenhouse Gas Removal and Other Carbon Capture Activities

This subclass includes activities related to the capture and removal of carbon dioxide (CO2) across all economic sectors, using any Carbon Capture, Usage and Storage (CCUS) or greenhouse gas removal (GGR) technology. This subclass includes: - the capture of CO2, using any CCUS technology - the operation and management of CO2 capture systems, including equipment used to separate, concentrate, or isolate CO2 for subsequent storage - the removal of atmospheric CO2, including engineered GGR solutions designed to produce a captured CO2 stream for permanent storage
